# Facebook (Messenger)

> How to link a Facebook page to receive and reply to Messenger messages inside Narciso: what you need, the steps, what is saved and what to do if the page is already linked elsewhere.

This links a **Facebook page**: the messages that clients send to the page on Messenger arrive in Narciso's chat as «Facebook» conversations and you reply from there ([Comunicazioni](https://narciso.io/en/docs/comunicazioni/)). The same link also feeds the Social Media page, for posts and statistics ([Social media](https://narciso.io/en/docs/social-media/)).

## What you need

1. A Facebook page whose messages you **manage**.
2. A Facebook account with access to that page.
3. Pop-ups allowed for the Narciso site.

## How to link it

1. Open the links window ([Linking channels](https://narciso.io/en/docs/collegare-i-canali/)) and click **Facebook** (or tick «Facebook» in the Collegamenti menu of the chat column).
2. Follow the guided path: login and permissions on the Facebook site, return, «Recupero account…» (Retrieving account…) ([Linking with login on the provider's site](https://narciso.io/en/docs/percorso-guidato/)).
3. On the **«Scegli la pagina Facebook»** (Choose the Facebook page) screen select the page and press **Continua** (Continue).
4. «**Pagina Facebook collegata con successo**» (Facebook page linked successfully) appears and the window closes.

## What is saved

The name and photo of the page (the photo is copied into Narciso's archive), the page identifier and its access key, which is **kept encrypted**, together with the location it is linked to.

## If the page is already linked

- From another location of the **same salon**: the location is simply added ([Multiple locations and shared channels](https://narciso.io/en/docs/canali-e-sedi/)).
- By **another salon** on Narciso: it is refused with «Questo account è già collegato a un altro account Narciso. Scollegalo da lì prima di collegarlo qui.» (This account is already linked to another Narciso account. Unlink it from there before linking it here.)

## Linking again

**Ricollega** (Link again) repeats the authorisation and updates the link. It is needed, for example, after Facebook has changed the permissions required: pages linked before the **statistics** permission was added have to be linked again so that the statistics can be seen. If in the final choice you select **another page**, the first one is not replaced: the new one is linked as well ([Linking channels](https://narciso.io/en/docs/collegare-i-canali/)).
