# Print formats

> Flyers, posters and business cards in the Designer: sizes and bleed, Stampa autonoma, Ordina Produzione with the price list (excluding VAT) and where the order appears after payment.

The [Designer](https://narciso.io/en/docs/designer/) also prepares material to print: **flyers** (Volantino), **posters** and **business cards** (Biglietto da visita). Each job has **Fronte e Retro** (Front and Back) (two fixed boards, called **Fronte** and **Retro**) and **3 mm of bleed** on each side.

(The format names are those shown by the program: Tascabile = pocket, Busta = envelope, Arredo = décor, Manifesto = notice poster, Biglietto = card, Quadrato = square.)

The real canvas is **larger** than the trim size by 3 mm on each side. A **dashed purple line** inside each board marks where it will be cut: backgrounds and images can reach the edge of the board without leaving white lines after cutting. The line is only a guide: it is **never printed or exported**.

Print formats do not have **Salva Post** (Save Post) and do not appear in the Social library: they are found in **Riprendi lavoro** (Resume work) ([Designer projects](https://narciso.io/en/docs/progetti-del-designer/)). There is no check on photo resolution (a small photo in a poster comes out grainy without warning), nor CMYK colour: the canvases are RGB.

## Stampa autonoma

**Salva ▸ Stampa autonoma** (Standalone print) prepares a document and opens a **new browser window** (if the browser blocks it: **Popup bloccato: consenti le finestre popup per stampare** (Pop-up blocked: allow pop-up windows to print)). A **Prima di stampare** (Before printing) box appears with the instructions (it is not printed) and right after the browser's print window opens. In the dialogue you must set **margins: none** and **scale: 100%** (not «fit to page»). The image is at **300 DPI**. **All pages are printed, even an empty Retro**.

If something goes wrong, **Errore durante la preparazione della stampa: …** (Error while preparing the print: …) appears. With non-standard paper formats (such as the DL, 99 × 210 mm) the browser may ignore the size and print on another format: a test on paper is advisable.

## Ordina Produzione

**Salva ▸ Ordina Produzione** (Order Production) opens the **Preventivo di stampa** (Print quote) (with the format code, for example *volantino — A5*; it closes with the **X** or by clicking outside, not during a payment).

1. While it loads a circle spins. If nothing can be ordered for the format: **Nessuna opzione di stampa disponibile per questo formato al momento.** (No print option available for this format at the moment.)
2. Choose the **Carta** (Paper) and the **Quantità** (Quantity): only the combinations in the price list appear.
3. The box shows **Subtotale** (Subtotal), **IVA 22%** (VAT 22%) and **Totale** (Total). The price is the **total for the print run**, not per copy.
4. **Paga X,XX €** (Pay €X.XX) opens a card payment window (Stripe). The button becomes **Attendo il pagamento...** (Waiting for payment...) and then **Verifica pagamento...** (Checking payment...).
5. Payment succeeded: **Pagamento Completato!** (Payment Completed!), the window closes after about 2 seconds and in the editor **Ordine di stampa pagato con successo!** (Print order paid successfully!) appears.
6. Payment cancelled: **Pagamento Annullato — Nessun addebito è stato effettuato.** (Payment Cancelled — No charge has been made.)

Other messages: **Impossibile avviare il pagamento** (Unable to start the payment), **Popup bloccato dal browser: consenti i popup per pagare.** (Pop-up blocked by the browser: allow pop-ups to pay.), **Pagamento non ancora confermato, riprova tra poco.** (Payment not yet confirmed, try again shortly.), **Errore durante la verifica del pagamento** (Error while checking the payment), **Nessuna sede attiva selezionata.** (No active location selected.) ### After payment

- **Fornitori ▸ Storico ordini** (Suppliers ▸ Order history) ([Order history](https://narciso.io/en/docs/storico-ordini/)): a line **Stampa volantino A5 × 100** (Print flyer A5 × 100) assigned to the **Fornitore di Sistema** (System supplier), with payment **Pagato** (Paid) and method **Carta / Stripe** (Card / Stripe). **Unpaid attempts** also appear (payment **In attesa** (Pending), status **Pendente** (Pending)): every time you press **Paga** (Pay) a line is created, even if you then close the window, but **with no charge at all**. An unpaid attempt becomes **Scaduto** (Expired) after 24 hours.
- **Contabilità ▸ Prima nota** (Accounting ▸ Cash book) ([Cash book](https://narciso.io/en/docs/prima-nota/)): **only if paid**, as an outgoing of type **Stampa** (Print) (for example *Stampa: volantino A5 × 100*), amount including VAT, method **Carta**.
- The job stays in **Riprendi lavoro**.

> **Warning.** In the quote you **do not enter any delivery address** and no summary of the file sent appears. To find out how and when the order is fulfilled, write to [Support](https://narciso.io/en/docs/assistenza/) giving the date, the format and the quantity.

If you close the payment window by hand, the quote may stay on **Attendo il pagamento...**: reload the page (**F5**, the job is saved) and check the **Storico ordini** before trying again, so as not to pay twice.
