# Images with artificial intelligence

> How to create an image from a description in the Designer (CrazyLab, Genera and Impazzisci), how much it costs in credits, how to manage creations and what the errors mean.

In the [Designer](https://narciso.io/en/docs/designer/) you can **create an image from a written description**. It is the only artificial intelligence function inside the editor and it is **paid for in credits** ([AI credits](https://narciso.io/en/docs/crediti-ai/)). The image comes only from the text you write: you cannot upload a photo (for example of a client) to «transform».

## Where to find it

**Immagini ▸ AI** (the third icon at the top right, brain-shaped). The panel shows:

- the **Cerca immagini...** (Search images...) bar (filters creations by name);
- the grid of **your creations**: the latest **50** of the active location. With no creations: **Nessuna creazione — Usa CrazyLab o Impazzisci per creare con l'AI** (No creations — Use CrazyLab or Impazzisci to create with the AI) (a click on the box opens CrazyLab);
- at the bottom a notebook-style strip with the words **CRAZYLAB**: one click opens the writing drawer, another closes it.

## Generating from a description

1. Open **CRAZYLAB**.
2. Write the description in the **Descrivi l'immagine che vuoi generare...** (Describe the image you want to generate...) field: better if detailed (subject, light, style, framing). You can write in Italian.
3. Press **Genera** (Generate). The button is off if the field is empty or a generation is already in progress.
4. The drawer closes and a dashed box **Generazione in corso...** (Generation in progress...) appears in the grid: it usually takes a few seconds, sometimes a few tens.
5. The image appears **at the top of the grid**. A click inserts it into the active board.

**Cost: 30 credits per image.** The cost is deducted **before** generation. If the image fails, the credits are refunded **except 15** (see the errors below).

## Impazzisci: the inspiration postcards

**Impazzisci** (Go wild) opens the **inspiration postcards**: ready-made ideas (subjects from the fashion, beauty and hair world) with a few questions to personalise them. Opening and browsing the postcards is **free**: the 30 credits are paid only at the final generation.

1. Press **Impazzisci** (while it works the button shows **Pensando...** (Thinking...)). A postcard opens with the cover photo and the title.
2. Browse with the side arrows (**Ispirazione Precedente** (Previous Inspiration) / **Ispirazione Successiva** (Next Inspiration)) or with the **←** and **→** keys.
3. The **little star** on the photo (**Metti in evidenza** (Highlight) / **Togli dai preferiti** (Remove from favourites)) marks favourite postcards: they are **yours**, per user; the postcard that opens first is chosen at random among your favourites, if you have any.
4. Clicking the photo shows it full screen in a new tab.
5. Press **Crea** (Create) (or **Spazio**, Space). The postcard asks **one question at a time**: you write the answer (**Scrivi qui la tua risposta...** (Write your answer here...)) and press **Invio** (Enter) or **Procedi ➔** (Proceed). **Maiusc+Invio** (Shift+Enter) starts a new line; **← Indietro** (Back) goes back to the previous question, **← Annulla** (Cancel) to the postcard.
6. At the last question the button becomes **Genera ✨**: the postcard closes and generation starts by itself.
7. Answers can be left empty: placeholders that are not filled in are ignored, but **the cost stays at 30 credits**.
8. To close the postcard you click outside (there is no **Esc** key).

In the grid these creations appear with the name **Da ispirazione** (From inspiration).

## Managing creations

- A click on a creation inserts it into the active board.
- The **bin** at the top right (when you hold the mouse over it) **deletes the creation for ever, without asking for confirmation**.
- Creations are kept on the server, remain after reloading and are visible to users of the **same location**.

## Error messages

| Message | Meaning | Credits |

| **Il contenuto richiesto non può essere generato perché non rispetta le regole di sicurezza. Sono stati addebitati 15 crediti.** (The requested content cannot be generated because it does not comply with the safety rules. 15 credits have been charged.) | The description was refused by the AI service | 30 deducted, **15 refunded** |
| **Immagine generata ma non salvata: riprova. Sono stati addebitati 15 crediti.** (Image generated but not saved: try again. 15 credits have been charged.) | The image was created but could not be kept | 30 deducted, **15 refunded** |
| **Errore durante la generazione.** (Error during generation.) / **Errore durante la generazione immagine.** (Error during image generation.) | Generic or network error | **All 30 refunded** |

After an error it is worth checking the balance from the profile box ([AI credits](https://narciso.io/en/docs/crediti-ai/)). If the image was generated but not saved, reload the page and check that it is still in the list before considering it safe.
