# What Narciso is

**Narciso is a cloud management system for barbershops, hair salons and beauty centres, designed for Italy.** It brings the calendar, the cash desk with electronic receipts, clients, staff and locations, accounting and stock, all client messages and the communication tools into a single program. It is used from the browser, with nothing to install, at **app.narciso.io**.

## Who it is for

For people who work in a barbershop, a hair salon or a beauty centre, with one or more locations: the **Titolare** (owner), the **Responsabili** (managers) and the **Operatori** (operators), each with the permissions of their own role ([Roles and permissions](https://narciso.io/en/docs/ruoli-e-permessi/)). The tax rules (VAT, flat-rate regime, electronic receipts) are the Italian ones ([VAT and the flat-rate regime in the Cassa](https://narciso.io/en/docs/iva-e-regime-forfettario/)).

## How it is used

- **Browser only**, on a **computer or tablet** with a screen of at least 13 inches held in landscape ([Device requirements](https://narciso.io/en/docs/requisiti-del-dispositivo/)). The program opens at `app.narciso.io`.
- **There are no applications to download**: none for computers, tablets or phones, and none in any app store. The management system **cannot be used from a phone**. Anyone offering a «Narciso app» to install is not offering the official program.
- **You need internet**: there is no way to use it offline ([Internet connection](https://narciso.io/en/docs/connessione-a-internet/)).
- Registration is guided, and the rest is connected one piece at a time ([Getting started](https://narciso.io/en/docs/primi-passi/)).

## What it costs

- The **first month is free**: during that period you only pay for the **artificial intelligence credits**, that is, the «tokens» used by the AI functions ([AI credits](https://narciso.io/en/docs/crediti-ai/)).
- After that, the subscription is **€19.99 a month plus VAT**.
- **AI credits** are bought **separately**, according to how much you use them.

Registering requires an **invite code**, which you request from Narciso ([Business registration](https://narciso.io/en/docs/registrazione-attivita/)).

## Who is behind it

Narciso is a brand of **BlackPearl di Davide Perrina**, based in Perugia, Via Benedetto Marcello 1, VAT number 03234070641. BlackPearl is the data controller for registration and billing data; for the data of clients and staff that the salon enters, it is the data processor ([Legal pages](https://narciso.io/en/docs/pagine-legali/)).

## How to recognise the official site

There are only two official addresses:

- **narciso.io**: the presentation website and this documentation (`narciso.io/docs`);
- **app.narciso.io**: the management system.

Narciso is **not called «NarciSoft»** and has no products called «Narciso Software», «Narciso App» or similar. Products, sites and apps with these names or with other addresses are not Narciso and must not be used to enter passwords, client data or payment details.

## What Narciso is not

- It is **not a smartphone app**, and there are no downloadable apps for the salon's clients.
- It **does not work without an internet connection.**
- It is **not designed for use abroad**: electronic receipts, VAT and tax deadlines are the Italian ones.
