# New post

> How to prepare and schedule a post: the content library, creating a piece of content (single post, carousel, video), uploading videos and AI editing, and the scheduling screen with channels, format, caption, date and time.

**Nuovo Post** (New Post) (top bar of the Piano editoriale, or **Crea Post** (Create Post) on an empty day) opens a large window in the middle of the screen. It has three moments: **La Tua Libreria** (Your Library) (choose a ready-made piece of content), **Aggiungi Post** (Add Post) (create a new one) and **Programma Post** (Schedule Post) (choose channels, text, date and time).

**Closing:** with the **X** at the top right, with a click on the dark background or with **Esc**. During the **upload of a video** the X, the background and Esc are **blocked**, and the browser warns you if you try to close the tab. With **Indietro** (Back) (bottom left) you return to the previous step.

## The library

Subtitle: «Seleziona un file multimediale caricato o sfoglia gli asset disponibili per la programmazione dei tuoi post.» (Select an uploaded media file or browse the assets available for scheduling your posts.)

**What it contains:** content that is already **finished** and ready to publish: the **posts finalised** in the Designer («Salva post» (Save post) button, see [Designer](https://narciso.io/en/docs/designer/)), the **videos** uploaded or edited by artificial intelligence (Reels) and the **files uploaded directly**. Designer drafts and print formats (business cards, flyers, posters) do not appear. The **most recently modified** content is shown first.

**Search and filters.** The field «Cerca per nome, tipologia o data...» (Search by name, type or date...) searches, after a short pause, in the **name** and the **type** (for example "video", "carosello" (carousel)); despite the wording, the **date is not searched**. Videos edited by the AI are called «Reel AI»; content without a name is «Senza titolo» (Untitled). The **Filtri** (Filters) button (sliders) opens two groups:

A blue dot on the button says that a filter is active. Content that is **already scheduled or printed** is **hidden** by default, to avoid scheduling the same thing twice. Choosing «Già pubblicati» (or «Tutti») shows it and it can be **deleted** or **republished** (the button is called **Ripubblica** (Republish)), but **not edited**.

**The grid:** 5 columns by 2 rows. The first page has the dashed card **CREA** (Create) and up to 9 pieces of content, the following ones 10. At the bottom left, **Pagina X di Y** (Page X of Y) with the arrows. Content loads **in blocks**, with no limit on the total; while a block arrives, grey placeholders appear. If loading fails: «Impossibile caricare la libreria. Controlla la connessione e riprova.» (Unable to load the library. Check your connection and try again.) If the search finds nothing: «Nessun risultato per "…"» (No results for "…").

**A content card** shows the preview, a label with the type (**Immagine**, **Video**, **Carosello**), the date of the last modification and the name.

- A **video** plays as a preview when the mouse passes over it, with its duration.
- A **carousel** scrolls through its images by itself (counter, for example 2 / 5).
- A **video being edited by the AI** shows a spinning circle, «Tempo stimato:» (Estimated time:) with the countdown (or «Quasi pronto...» (Almost ready...)) and the name «Creazione in corso...» (Creation in progress...); it cannot be selected. The estimate is about 6.5 seconds of work for each second of video.
- If the image does not load: «Anteprima non disp.» (Preview not available).

**Selecting:** click on the **lower part** of the card (or on the small circle at the top right). The selected content has a blue border and a tick. A click on the **preview** instead opens the content **full screen** (it closes with Esc, with the X «Chiudi (Esc)» (Close (Esc)) or with a click outside).

Confirmation of **Elimina**: «Elimina elementi — Sei sicuro di voler eliminare definitivamente questo elemento? L'azione è irreversibile.» (Delete items — Are you sure you want to permanently delete this item? The action is irreversible.) (or «questi N elementi» (these N items)), with **Annulla** (Cancel) and **Sì, elimina** (Yes, delete). Deleting removes the content and its images or videos from the library; it does **not** touch posts already scheduled or published with that content. If something goes wrong no message appears (the list simply reloads).

## Creating new content

A click on **CREA** opens the choice of format («Seleziona il tipo di contenuto che vorresti creare e aggiungere alla libreria» (Select the type of content you would like to create and add to the library)), with three large cards:

With no choice made, «Seleziona un formato per continuare» (Select a format to continue) appears. When you press **Salva post** in the Designer, the program takes you back to Social media with the library open **already on the content just saved**, which "jumps" to get noticed.

## Videos: three ways

The **Vedi esempio** (See example) link (on the two AI cards) opens three examples (Esempio 1, 2, 3 (Example 1, 2, 3)), each a YouTube video that starts with a click: you need a connection and YouTube. With no choice: «Seleziona una tipologia per continuare» (Select a type to continue).

**Carica i tuoi video** (Upload your videos):

1. You drag the files into the area («Trascina e rilascia i file video qui, oppure clicca per sfogliare i tuoi file» (Drag and drop the video files here, or click to browse your files)) or you click. For **Video già pronto** only one file is taken.
2. For **Prima persona** and **Collage** the files are put in **alphabetical order** (the numbers in the names sort correctly: 2 before 10) and the notice «Ordine dei contenuti» (Order of the content) appears: the content is edited in the order in which it was uploaded, from first to last. **OK** closes the notice.
3. The list **Contenuti da caricare (N)** (Content to upload (N)) has the columns Nome File (File Name), Durata (Duration), Peso (Size), Stato (Status) («Da caricare» (To upload), then a bar with the percentage). You can **reorder by dragging** the rows by the dotted handle; a click on the thumbnail opens the video full screen.
4. At the bottom: **Aggiungi** (Add) (more files; it recognises duplicates) and, with rows selected, **Elimina** and **Sostituisci** (Replace).
5. **Continua** uploads the files; during the upload, closing is blocked.

**Video già pronto:** the files end up in the library with the notification «Video caricato con successo nella tua libreria!» (Video uploaded successfully to your library!).

**Prima persona and Collage:** after **all** the files have been uploaded, the AI editing starts on an external service, with the notification «La nostra AI ha iniziato a lavorare per te, troverai il video pronto nella libreria» (Our AI has started working for you, you will find the video ready in the library). In the library the card «Creazione in corso...» appears; when the video is ready the card becomes normal and the library updates by itself. The raw files are deleted when the job is finished.

> **Warning.** Videos edited by the AI have a limit per salon: **at most 2 in progress at the same time and 4 per day** (Italian day). If you exceed it the program replies «Hai già 2 reel in elaborazione: aspetta che finiscano prima di crearne un altro.» (You already have 2 reels being processed: wait for them to finish before creating another.) or «Hai raggiunto il limite di 4 reel al giorno: riprova domani.» (You have reached the limit of 4 reels per day: try again tomorrow.); the check happens before the upload, so the file is not even uploaded.

### What can go wrong with the upload

During editing, if something goes wrong, the content being worked on **disappears from the library**. If the Nuovo Post window is open a notification appears («Elaborazione fallita: …» (Processing failed: …), «I server AI sono momentaneamente congestionati. Riprova più tardi.» (The AI servers are temporarily congested. Try again later.), «Elaborazione video interrotta per stallo o timeout. La bozza è stata rimossa.» (Video processing interrupted due to a stall or timeout. The draft has been removed.)); if it is closed the content disappears **without warning**. Jobs left "in processing" for more than 2 hours are removed automatically.

## The Programma Post screen

After **Pubblica**, the **Programma Post** screen appears («Seleziona i canali social, inserisci la didascalia e scegli data e ora di pubblicazione.» (Select the social channels, enter the caption and choose the publication date and time.)), divided into two halves. The button at the bottom becomes **Conferma** (Confirm).

**Left half**

1. **Canali di Pubblicazione** (Publishing Channels): Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest. Those not connected are grey and cannot be chosen. On opening, **only one** channel is already chosen: the first connected one in the order Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest. You can choose as many as you like. If none is connected: «⚠️ Nessun canale collegato. Vai in "Canali" per connettere i tuoi account.» (⚠️ No channel connected. Go to "Canali" to connect your accounts.) (use the **Collegamenti** (Connections) button: [Connecting social accounts](https://narciso.io/en/docs/collegare-account-social/)).
2. **Formato** (Format): **Post Standard** (default) or **Storia** (Story). The Storia applies **only to Instagram and Facebook**: on TikTok and Pinterest it is published as a normal post, without any warning.
3. **Didascalia** (Caption): text field («Scrivi una didascalia coinvolgente per i tuoi follower...» (Write an engaging caption for your followers...)) with the emoji selector and the **N / 2200** counter, which turns red above 2200 but does not block sending (Instagram would reject it: [Post publishing](https://narciso.io/en/docs/pubblicazione-dei-post/)). With **Storia** the field is replaced by «Le Storie non richiedono una didascalia di testo.» (Stories do not require a text caption.)

**Right half**

4. **Data di Pubblicazione** (Publication Date): a month calendar with the Mese precedente / successivo (Previous / Next month) arrows. Past days are greyed out, today is highlighted in light blue.
5. **Ora di Pubblicazione** (Publication Time): two strips, **Ora** (Hour) (00-23) and **Min** (00-59). You change it by clicking a nearby digit, with the arrows (hold them down to scroll fast) or with the mouse wheel over the strip. If you choose today, hours and minutes already passed are greyed out, and a time already past is corrected to "now + 2 minutes".

**Conferma** (while working: «Caricamento...» (Loading...)):

**What Conferma does in practice:** it creates **one scheduled post for each chosen channel**, on the accounts of the **active location**; the library content is then marked as **already scheduled** and moves under «Già pubblicati». The **title of the post cannot be entered**: for Pinterest the Pin's title will be the beginning of the caption ([Pinterest](https://narciso.io/en/docs/pinterest/)). To change the date, time and text of an already scheduled post there is no editing: see [Post publishing](https://narciso.io/en/docs/pubblicazione-dei-post/).

> **Note.** If only the Pubblicazione of Instagram or Facebook has been disconnected but the chat is still connected, the two channels can still be chosen: it is best not to schedule posts on them, and to reconnect them from **Collegamenti** instead.

The chosen date and time are read by the server in **Italian time**.
