# Login page

> What Narciso's login page looks like, how to log in with nickname and password, what the error messages and temporary blocks mean.

The **login page** is the first screen you meet when you open Narciso without an active session. Anyone who already has a valid session does not see it: they are taken straight to the calendar.

## What it looks like

The page is split in two columns.

**Left column.** On a midnight-blue background, six information cards scroll by themselves, with the text «FUNZIONALITÀ · 01 / 06» (FEATURES · 01 / 06) at the top. They are for illustration only.

At the bottom six small bars let you jump to a card with a click.

**Right column.** At the top left is the Narciso logo and at the top right the link **Serve aiuto?** (Need help?), which opens a WhatsApp conversation with support with the message already written (see [Support](https://narciso.io/en/docs/assistenza/)). In the centre is the form; at the bottom the links to the legal pages: **Privacy Policy**, **Terms of Service**, **Cookie Policy** (see [Legal pages](https://narciso.io/en/docs/pagine-legali/)), which open in a new tab.

The browser tab has the title «Entra in un mondo fatto di bellezza - Narciso.io» (Enter a world made of beauty - Narciso.io).

## The initial choice

The right column shows the text «GESTIONALE PER SALONI» (MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR SALONS), the title **Benvenuto in Narciso** (Welcome to Narciso) and «Scegli come vuoi continuare.» (Choose how you want to continue.), with two buttons.

From both of the following screens the **Indietro** (Back) link returns to the choice.

## How to log in

1. Press **Accedi alla tua attività**. «Accedi al tuo salone» (Log in to your salon) appears with «Inserisci le credenziali del tuo account Narciso.» (Enter your Narciso account credentials.).
2. The form is blurred and covered by an **anti-robot check**. Wait for it to complete: it is usually automatic, sometimes it asks you to tick a box. As soon as it is passed, the blur disappears.
3. Type the **nickname** (see below). The **Password** field stays closed until Narciso recognises the nickname: if the nickname does not exist no message appears and the password does not open.
4. Type the **password**. The button to the right of the field shows or hides the characters.
5. Press **Accedi** (Log in) or **Invio** (Enter). While it works, the button shows «Accesso in corso...» (Logging in...).
6. If the phone number has not been verified recently, the SMS check appears (see [Phone verification by SMS](https://narciso.io/en/docs/verifica-del-telefono/)); if the VAT regime is missing, the tax configuration (see [Tax configuration](https://narciso.io/en/docs/configurazione-fiscale/)). Then you arrive at the calendar.

### The nickname

The nickname is the login name assigned by the owner in the staff card. It is valid across the whole platform and is unique.

- It is not case-sensitive; it can be typed with or without the initial at sign (for example «@mariorossi» or «mariorossi»).
- It can contain letters, numbers, full stop, hyphen and underscore, from 3 to 30 characters.
- **It is not the email address**: if you type an email, «L'accesso non supporta l'indirizzo email. Inserisci il tuo Nickname di accesso (es. @mariorossi).» (Login does not support the email address. Enter your login Nickname (e.g. @mariorossi).) appears.
- There is no «Ricordami» (Remember me) option. The browser may offer to save the credentials: it is a browser feature, not a Narciso one.

The **Password dimenticata?** (Forgot password?) link becomes clickable when the nickname is recognised (see [Password](https://narciso.io/en/docs/password/)).

### The anti-robot check

It is compulsory: without it, the form stays blurred. After a login error or when going back, it must be passed again. If it does not load (slow connection, extensions that block content), reload the page or disable the extensions for Narciso.

## Error messages

Errors appear as a red notification at the top.

### Temporary blocks

- The **account** block is tied to the nickname: during the block even the right password is rejected. Anyone who repeatedly gets a colleague's password wrong can block them for half an hour; if a colleague is blocked for no reason, it is best to check that nobody is trying to get in.
- The **device** block concerns attempts with nicknames that do not exist.
- The salon's staff, owner included, **cannot unblock** an account: you have to wait the time indicated. A successful login before the block resets the count of errors.

## After logging in

After logging in, Narciso links the device to the person and keeps the session data in the browser (see [Session and logging out](https://narciso.io/en/docs/sessione-e-uscita/)). If the business is suspended, the login may succeed but at the first operation you are taken back to the login page (see [Login problems](https://narciso.io/en/docs/problemi-di-accesso/)).
