Design agent (/design)

Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
The design agent is an assistant that creates a graphic for you: you describe what is needed, it asks a few questions, then builds the design in the editor (Designer) in front of whoever is watching and saves it as a draft. It is used from the Secretariat chat, by typing an explicit command.

How to ask for a graphic#

The formats it knows: social post, story, Facebook cover, images for Pinterest, profile photo, flyer (front and back), poster, business card.
With an image attached to the message (PNG, JPEG or WebP, maximum 10 MB) the assistant replies «Ricreo l'immagine che hai allegato.» (I will recreate the image you attached.) and asks only for the dimensions: «Che dimensioni deve avere la grafica che vuoi creare? […]» (What dimensions should the graphic you want to create have? […]). If the attachment is not accepted: «Come riferimento posso usare solo un'immagine png, jpeg o webp.» (As a reference I can only use a png, jpeg or webp image.) or «L'immagine allegata è troppo grande (massimo 10 MB).» (The attached image is too large (maximum 10 MB).)
The questions#
The assistant gathers a brief: format, purpose, texts, facts (address, hours, prices), audience and tone, images, style. Format and purpose are compulsory; the rest it asks for until it has enough information. It asks at most two questions at a time and suggests: «Se preferisci, scrivi «decidi tu» e scelgo io il resto.» (If you prefer, type «decidi tu» (you decide) and I will choose the rest.)
- Off-topic request: «Posso aiutarti a creare grafiche: post e storie per i social, volantini, poster e biglietti da visita. Che cosa ti serve?» (I can help you create graphics: posts and stories for social media, flyers, posters and business cards. What do you need?)
- If a message arrives while it is still replying: «Un momento, sto ancora rispondendo al messaggio di prima.» (One moment, I am still replying to the previous message.)
- When it has everything: «Ho tutto quello che mi serve. […] Mi metto al lavoro.» (I have everything I need. […] I am getting to work.) and then «Ho tutto quello che mi serve: mi metto al lavoro. Qui sotto vedi l'editor in diretta (cliccalo per ingrandirlo; per fermarmi scrivi /annulla).» (I have everything I need: I am getting to work. While it works#
Under the message the live editor appears: you see the design being built step by step, as if a person were doing it. Next to it, status lines appear, for example: «Penso al design…» (I am thinking about the design…), «Il consulente valuta l'idea…» (The consultant is evaluating the idea…), «Immagino il risultato finito…» (I am imagining the finished result…), «Disegno la foto di ispirazione…» (I am drawing the inspiration photo…), «Misuro posizioni e dimensioni degli elementi…» (I am measuring positions and sizes of the elements…), «Apro l'editor…» (I am opening the editor…), «Costruisco il design · passo N di M» (I am building the design · step N of M), «Controllo gli spazi…» (I am checking the spacing…), «Salvo la bozza…» (I am saving the draft…), and at the end «Fatto» (Done) (or «Interrotto» (Interrupted)).
While it is working, any message receives «Sto ancora lavorando al design. Se vuoi fermarmi scrivi /annulla.» (I am still working on the design. If you want to stop me type /annulla.); with /annulla it replies «Ho interrotto il design.» (I have stopped the design.) If you close the page the browser stops, but the server still completes the work.
Behind the scenes several «roles» work: an interpreter who talks to you, a consultant with memory (valid for about 2 hours) who directs the designer, the designer who imagines the finished work and an executor who builds it in the editor. With an attachment, the ideation is skipped and that image is recreated directly.
The result#
A draft in the business's social library. The final message: «Il design è pronto e l'ho salvato tra le bozze.» (The design is ready and I have saved it among the drafts.) with the Aprilo nella libreria (Open it in the library) link. If saving fails: «Il design è pronto, ma non sono riuscito a salvarlo tra le bozze (motivo). È ancora aperto nell'editor.» (The design is ready, but I could not save it among the drafts (reason). It is still open in the editor.) From there you can resume work in the Designer (Designer projects) and finalise it like any other post (Exporting).
AI credits#
- Before starting, the program checks that the balance is at least 30 credits, but does not deduct them. Otherwise: «Per creare il design servono token AI di AuraStudio (almeno 30, per le immagini generate): ne hai N. Ricarica i token e riprova.» (To create the design you need AuraStudio AI tokens (at least 30, for the generated images): you have N. Top up the tokens and try again.) (AI credits)
- You only pay for photos generated by the AI inside the editor: 30 credits each, up to 6 per graphic (so up to 180), with the same refund rules as Images with artificial intelligence (15 credits kept in certain failures).
- The assistant's calls (interpreter, consultant, designer, image analysis) and the reference image are not charged.
Limits#
- Only one job at a time per salon (not per user): «Sto già lavorando a un design: aspetta che finisca.» (I am already working on a design: wait for it to finish.) / «Sto ancora finendo un altro design, riprova tra un momento.» (I am still finishing another design, try again in a moment.)
- Every 10 minutes, per salon: 60 conversation messages and 12 starts. Beyond that: «Hai fatto molte richieste di grafica in poco tempo: aspetta qualche minuto e riprova.» (You have made many graphic requests in a short time: wait a few minutes and try again.)
- Maximum time for a job: 6 minutes on the server, 8 in the browser. The conversation accepts at most 40 messages of 4000 characters.
Errors#
«Al momento non riesco a contattare il servizio di progettazione, riprova tra poco.» (I cannot reach the design service at the moment, try again shortly.), «Non sono riuscito a completare il design, riprova.» (I could not complete the design, try again.), «La progettazione ha impiegato troppo tempo e l'ho interrotta, riprova.» (The design took too long and I stopped it, try again.), «Qualcosa è andato storto, riprova.» (Something went wrong, try again.), «Al momento non riesco a rispondere, riprova tra poco.» (I cannot reply at the moment, try again shortly.), «L'editor non risponde, riprova tra poco.» (The editor is not responding, try again shortly.), «Non sono riuscito a costruire il design nell'editor, riprova.» (I could not build the design in the editor, try again.), «Non riesco a leggere l'immagine allegata: riprova ad allegarla.» (I cannot read the attached image: try attaching it again.)
What it does not do yet#
- It does not start from a library or personal template: there is only the «ricreo da un'immagine di ispirazione» (I recreate from an inspiration image) flow.
- It does a single pass: it does not review or correct its own work.
- It does not reserve the credits in advance: a graphic with several AI photos can exceed the balance halfway through building.
