Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
You link your personal Telegram account (the one with your phone number), not a «bot». Narciso gets in as if it were another Telegram installation on your account: it receives the messages of the private chats (one to one) and lets you reply from Narciso's chat.
- Groups, channels and newsletters are ignored.
- The messages you already had in Telegram are not imported: you receive those from the moment you link.

What you need#
The Telegram account, its number with the international prefix and the phone (or the app) to read the code. If you have two-step verification turned on, also its password.
The screen#
Title «Configurazione Telegram» (Telegram setup), subtitle «Collega il tuo account personale per inviare e ricevere messaggi da qui.» (Link your personal account to send and receive messages from here.) Below, a bar with the steps Numero (Number) → Verifica (Verification) (and Password only if needed): the active step is green, the completed ones have a tick. You can click only on a step you have already reached.
For a moment «Caricamento stato connessione...» (Loading connection status...) appears: Narciso checks whether an account is already linked (see the end). Errors appear in a red box above the field; information in a green one.
Step 1: Numero#
The field «Numero di telefono (con prefisso)» (Phone number (with prefix)), for example +39 333 1234567: a «+» followed by 8-15 digits (spaces are removed; hyphens and brackets are not). Below: «Riceverai un codice di verifica sull'app di Telegram o via SMS.» (You will receive a verification code in the Telegram app or by SMS.) Press Invia Codice (Send Code) (or Invio (Enter)).

If the same number is already linked and active from another location of your salon, the code is not needed: the location is added and the window closes straight away (Multiple locations and shared channels).
Step 2: Verifica#
A green box appears: «Codice inviato sull'app di Telegram. Controlla i messaggi dal contatto ufficiale "Telegram".» (Code sent to the Telegram app. Check the messages from the official contact "Telegram".) or «Codice inviato via SMS al numero indicato.» (Code sent by SMS to the number given.) The code usually arrives in the official «Telegram» chat of the app, not by SMS.
Type the Codice di verifica (Verification code) (digits only) and press Verifica e Collega (Verify and Link) (or Invio). Indietro (Back) returns to step 1 and clears the code and password; Invia di nuovo il codice (Send the code again) requests another code.
Errors: «Inserisci il codice di verifica.» (Enter the verification code.), «Sessione scaduta. Richiedi un nuovo codice.» (Session expired. Request a new code.) (more than 10 minutes have passed or the program was restarted: you go back and request the code), a Telegram message or «Codice non valido o errore durante il login.» (Invalid code or error during login.)
If the code is right and the account does not have two-step verification, the link is complete: the window closes by itself, with no notice.
Step 3: Password (only with two-step verification)#
The third step appears with the notice «Il tuo account ha la verifica in due passaggi attiva. Inserisci la tua password cloud di Telegram.» (Your account has two-step verification turned on. Enter your Telegram cloud password.) The password is the one set in Telegram under Impostazioni → Privacy e sicurezza → Verifica in due passaggi (Settings → Privacy and security → Two-step verification). Press Conferma e Collega (Confirm and Link).
Errors: «Inserisci la password.» (Enter the password.), «Password errata. Riprova.» (Wrong password. Try again.), «Password non valida o errore durante il login.» (Invalid password or error during login.) Narciso does not save the password: it is needed only to complete the login.
Timing and security#
- Between «Invia Codice» and the confirmation, 10 minutes at most pass; after that a new code has to be requested.
- If the number is already linked to another salon on Narciso: «Questo account è già collegato a un altro account Narciso. Scollegalo da lì prima di collegarlo qui.» (This account is already linked to another Narciso account. Unlink it from there before linking it here.) and a new code has to be requested.
- The link is a session of the account, stored encrypted. On the phone, in Telegram's list of active devices, the new login appears.
If the account is already linked#
When you reopen Telegram while it is already linked (also from Ricollega (Link again)), «Account collegato — Telegram è connesso con il numero [numero]» (Account linked — Telegram is connected with the number [number]) appears, with Scollega account (Unlink account) (red) and Chiudi (Close). There is no way to log in again without unlinking first.
