Opening Narciso

Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
Opening Narciso is the sequence of checks the program runs every time you open app.narciso.io, before showing the calendar. It almost always lasts a few seconds and needs no action from you.

Sequence of checks#
- Connection to the server. If the server does not respond, the screen «Connessione momentaneamente interrotta» (Connection temporarily interrupted) appears (see Internet connection).
- Device check. Narciso checks that the computer or tablet is recognised and not blocked (see Device check).
- Screen check. The management program requires a screen of at least 13 inches, in landscape (see Device requirements).
- Login page. You choose «Accedi» (Log in) or «Registra la tua attività» (Register your business) and enter your nickname and password (see Login page).
- Phone verification by SMS, only if requested (see Phone verification by SMS).
- Tax configuration, once per business and only if it has not been done already (see Tax configuration).
- Agenda. After logging in you always arrive at the calendar.
Anyone who already has a valid session goes straight to the calendar. Even if you type an address that does not exist by hand, or the address of the login page when you are already logged in, you are taken back to the calendar.
Device check#
Narciso protects the salon's data by recognising the devices used to log in: every computer or tablet is registered and the browser keeps the recognition. For the user this means a short wait on opening, with the message «Controllo di sicurezza in corso...» (Security check in progress...) full screen.
The device is registered the first time you use a browser, after clearing the browsing data, or when you change browser or computer. When it finishes, the page reloads by itself once: this is normal.

The white page can also appear at a later moment, while you are working.
Pages that do not go through the check#
The public pages meant for the salon's clients do not go through these checks and also work from a phone:
- the catalogue with booking, opened from a link received on WhatsApp;
- the outcome page after a payment by link;
- the KlimaCard terminal screen;
- the legal documents and privacy notices (see Legal pages).
