Workstation security
Last updated:
Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
The management program holds the salon's client data, takings and conversations. This advice concerns the computer or tablet you work from.

- One login per person. Nicknames and passwords are not shared. A browser has only one session at a time: two people using the same browser profile swap each other's session. On a shared computer, use one browser profile for each person.
- Log out at the end of your shift. The Esci (Log out) button in the sidebar closes the session (see Session and logging out). On a shop computer that anyone can access, always log out.
- Lock the screen when you step away from the workstation.
- Do not save the password in the browser on shared computers.
- Do not clear the site data without a reason: doing so logs you out of the program and makes the device be registered again (see Opening Narciso).
- Keep the browser and the operating system up to date.
- Avoid anonymous networks such as Tor and, if they are not needed, VPNs: they can prevent the device check when you open the program.
- Do not share Narciso screenshots with outsiders without hiding the clients' data. The quick problem report sends a screenshot of the whole tab (see Support).
- Keep the credentials register in a safe place. It is the PDF with the staff's nicknames and passwords that you download at the end of the business registration (see Business registration).
- If the session was left open on a computer that is not your own, log in from another device, change the password (see Password) and contact support.
