Incoming orders

Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
When a product is put into an order to a supplier, its Ultimo Rifornimento (Last Restock) in the Products record becomes IN CORSO (IN PROGRESS) and next to the quantity the amber +N badge appears with the pieces ordered. Orders are created from the Cassa in Paga (Pay) mode (Paying suppliers); creating one is reserved for Titolare (owner) and Responsabile (manager), while confirming the arrival or cancelling a line is open to all roles (including the Operatore, operator).
While the product is «IN CORSO», the task «Riordina NOME» (Reorder NAME) disappears from Secretariat (Secretariat): the reorder is considered already done.

Confirming that the goods have arrived#
- Move the mouse over IN CORSO: the Gestione Ordine (Order Management) tooltip appears, and stays open while you move over it.
- Click Conferma ricezione (Confirm receipt). «Registra Ricezione Ordine» (Register Order Receipt) opens with the green notice «Stai registrando l'arrivo della merce ordinata. Inserisci la quantità effettivamente ricevuta per aggiornare automaticamente lo stock in magazzino.» (You are registering the arrival of the ordered goods. Enter the quantity actually received to update the stock in the warehouse automatically.), the line «Pezzi ordinati inizialmente: N pezzi» (Pieces originally ordered: N pieces) and the Pezzi Ricevuti (Pieces Received) field, already filled in with the ordered quantity.
- Correct the number if fewer (or more) have arrived and press Conferma Ricezione (Confirm Receipt); Annulla (Cancel) closes without doing anything.
- «Ricezione confermata!» (Receipt confirmed!) appears and the window closes.
If the field is empty or the number is negative, «Inserisci un numero valido.» (Enter a valid number.) appears. With zero pieces the confirmation does not work: to receive nothing you do not confirm; you leave the order as it is or cancel its line.
What happens on receipt#
- The stock increases by the pieces received and in Stock in and out a Carico (Stock in) movement appears with the reason «Ordine #… - Ricevuto parziale (ricevuti/ordinati)» (Order #… - Partially received (received/ordered)) and, in the Riferimento (Reference) column, «Ordine #number · Supplier name».
- The program updates the product's average cost (weighted average between the previous stock at its average cost and the pieces that arrived at the order price). The average cost is not shown in any column.
- If for some line of the order fewer pieces arrived than were ordered, the order is Parziale (Partial); when all lines are complete it is Ricevuto (Received). A line received in part can be confirmed again for the missing pieces.
- On an order that has already been fully received, the confirmation shows the same message but does not add any more pieces.
- If the confirmation fails, «Errore: …» (Error: …) appears with the reason; for example, if a colleague edited the same product at the same time, you try again.
Cancelling a product's order#
- On the Gestione Ordine tooltip click Annulla ordine (Cancel order).
- «Annulla Ordine Fornitore» (Cancel Supplier Order) opens with the red notice «Sei sicuro di voler annullare questo ordine? Questa operazione è irreversibile e l'ordine verrà rimosso dallo stato "In corso".» (Are you sure you want to cancel this order? This operation is irreversible and the order will be removed from the "In progress" status.)
- Sì, Annulla Ordine (Yes, Cancel Order) confirms («Ordine annullato!» (Order cancelled!)); No, Mantieni Ordine (No, Keep Order) closes without doing anything.
The cancellation applies to that product's line within the order: the other lines of the same order stay. If all the lines are cancelled, the whole order is cancelled. Ultimo Rifornimento goes back to the date of that product's last real stock-in, or stays empty if there is none. In case of error, «Errore: …» appears with the reason.
Where orders are shown#
The list of orders placed, with amounts, statuses and suppliers, is in the Order history of the Suppliers page, read-only.
