Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.
Magazzino (Stock) is the page where you keep the price list of the services the salon sells, the catalogue of products with their stock levels and the log of all stock movements. It opens from Scartoffie ▸ Magazzino.

The three tabs#
At the top there are three tabs, each one a third of the width. The active one is white with an orange icon.

- When it opens you see the Servizi tab.
- The chosen tab stays in the page address: when you reload you go back to the same tab. The reorder, expired product and order delivery tasks of Secretariat (Secretariat) lead straight to the Prodotti tab.
- The browser tab title changes with the open tab: «Listino trattamenti & Servizi — Narciso», «Catalogo prodotti & Giacenze magazzino — Narciso», «Registro carico & scarico merci — Narciso».
- When you switch tabs, the quick edit in progress, the selected rows and the search you typed are not kept.
- The three tables work like the other Narciso tables (resizable columns, Tool panel, export): the general behaviour is in Data tables. Order, width and visibility of the columns and font size are remembered for each tab and for your own user.
Things to know before you start#
- Each location has its own stock. Products, services and movements belong to the active location. A product created in one location is not seen in the others and stock levels are separate. To create a product or a service you need an active location: without one, «Nessuna sede attiva selezionata.» (No active location selected.) appears.
- Data updates by itself. The list of products and services and the movement log update when a colleague or another device sells, loads, unloads or edits an item of the same location; the stock changes on screen as soon as the server updates it.
- If two people edit the same item, whoever saves second sees «Questo elemento è stato modificato da un altro utente mentre lo modificavi. Chiudi e riapri la scheda per vedere le modifiche, poi rifai le tue.» (This item was modified by another user while you were editing it. Close and reopen the record to see the changes, then redo yours.) and nothing is written.
- Items created by the Cassa. Items that the Cassa saves with «Paga» (Pay) as a service (for example a resold course or a utility bill) do not appear among the Prodotti. Those not for internal use appear among the Servizi with the category «Servizio (da fornitore)» (Service (from supplier)) (see Services).
Who can do what#
All roles see the page and do stock in, stock out and counts with the reader. Creating and changing products and services is reserved for Titolare (owner) and Responsabile (manager).

An Operatore who tries a reserved action receives «Operazione riservata a Titolare o Responsabile.» (Operation reserved for Titolare or Responsabile.) and nothing changes. The active location always applies.
How stock changes: all the sources#
A product's stock is one single figure: it is the same one seen by Cassa, appointments and the movement log. No operation can take it below zero: sales, reservations, stock outs with the reader and «Rimuovi veloce» (Quick remove) stop with an error when the requested quantity exceeds the available one.

Stock Prima (Stock Before) and Stock Dopo (Stock After) in the log are the quantities at the time of the movement; the latest Stock Dopo matches the Qtà Disponibile (Available Qty) in the Prodotti tab.
Suppliers from Magazzino's point of view#
- A product can be linked to a supplier: in the guided record you choose the «Fornitore Principale» (Main Supplier). Suppliers are managed in Suppliers.
- In Cassa, in Paga mode, the product list shows those of the chosen supplier, if it has any; otherwise the whole catalogue (see Paying suppliers).
- Orders to suppliers are not created from Magazzino. Here you see their effects: the IN CORSO (IN PROGRESS) label, the +N badge and the confirmation of receipt (Incoming orders).
What the Cassa sees of a product#
In Cassa a product's pop-up record (it opens from the «i» on the thumbnail) reads these fields from Magazzino:
