Translated from the Italian guide. Narciso itself is in Italian, so the names of buttons, menus and fields are shown exactly as they appear on screen, with a translation in brackets where it helps.

The words are in alphabetical order. Each term has a short explanation and a pointer to the entry where the details are; when two words look alike, the explanation says what not to confuse with what.

A#

  • Abbondanza — Extra 3 mm margin around the sheet in print formats, to avoid white edges after cutting. The dashed purple line is the cutting line. See Print formats.
  • Abilita Assistente AI — Entry in the chat's Impostazioni menu with the switches for the assistant's automatic functions. Only the Titolare changes them. See Comunicazioni settings.
  • Account bloccato — After too many wrong login attempts, access stays stopped for 30 minutes. See Login page, Login problems.
  • Agenda — The page with the week's or the day's appointments. See Calendar.
  • Agenzia delle Entrate (AdE) — Recipient of the electronic receipt (Documento Commerciale) and of the daily takings (corrispettivi). See Cash desk links, Cash book.
  • Aggiungi (menu) — Button on the tables bar with «Crea da zero» and «Importa esistenti». See Data tables, Importing clients.
  • Agente di design — The assistant that creates a graphic when you write /design in Segreteria. See Design agent (/design).
  • Anagrafica — The list of records of people: in Clienti they are the clients, in Personale the team members. See Clients, Staff records.
  • Appuntamento — Booking of one or more services for a client, with date, time, team member and possibly workstation. See New appointment, Appointment card.
  • Asta prenotazioni — Assistant function for freeing up an occupied slot in return for a surcharge. See Slot swap (Booking auction).
  • Assistente AI (bot) — The program that answers clients by itself in chat. See The chat assistant, Bots and automations.
  • AuraStudio — Narciso's graphics editor; it opens from the Designer entry. See AuraStudio, Designer.
  • Aziende (Fornitori) — Suppliers as companies, with company name, VAT number and payment terms. Not to be confused with Persone fisiche, the contact people. See Supplier companies.

  • Badge dei non letti — Number next to a conversation: the messages not yet read. See The conversation list.
  • Banna — Blocks a contact: their new messages no longer arrive. Not to be confused with Silenzia, which only stops the counter. See Muting, banning and deleting a conversation.
  • Barcode (codice a barre) — Code printed on products and cards, read by the reader connected to the Narciso Hub. See Barcode reader.
  • BKG Remover — Editor tool for removing the background from a photo. See Retouching photos.
  • Bot — See Assistente AI.
  • Bozza — Unfinished work in the graphics editor, to be resumed in «Riprendi lavoro». Not to be confused with the finished post (Post finito). See Designer projects.
  • Buono Sconto — A type of loyalty reward, obtained with points, which counts as a discount in Cassa. Not to be confused with the codes of the Promozioni. See Loyalty rewards.
  • Buono spostamento — A 2 € voucher received by whoever agrees to move their own appointment in the seat swap. See Slot swap (Booking auction).

  • Cambio sede — Switching to another location from the Mappa sedi: the program reloads data and permissions. See Locations map and active location.
  • Canale — The route by which clients write: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, email, PEC. Until it is connected, no messages arrive. See Linking channels.
  • Carico e Scarico — Register of the movements that change a product's stock level. See Stock in and out.
  • Carosello — Social post of several scrollable images; in the editor each image is a frame. See The canvas, New post.
  • Carta punti — The client's loyalty card: points are credited only if the client has it. See Loyalty points.
  • Cartella (chat) — A grouping of conversations. Dissolving a folder does not delete the conversations. See Folders.
  • Cartellino presenze — Record with the clock-in and clock-out entries. See Attendance.
  • Cassa — Page with three modes: Riscuoti (sales), Paga (suppliers), Fedeltà (rewards with points). See Cash desk.
  • Checkout — Button on the Scheda appuntamento that takes you to Cassa with the client and services already entered. See Appointment card, Taking payment.
  • Chiedi all'AI — Questions about a document received in chat. See Asking the AI about a document.
  • CMYK — Colour system of printers; the editor works in RGB and does not handle it. See Print formats.
  • Codice fiscale — Data required for team members and shown in the records; attendance is clocked with the app's badge or the health card. See Staff records, Attendance.
  • Codice invito — Code needed to register a new business. See Business registration.
  • Codice sconto — Box in Cassa where you type a promotion's code. See Discount code in the Cash desk, Promotional code rules.
  • Collega questa chat — Associates a conversation with a client or a supplier. See Linking a conversation to a client or a supplier.
  • Collegamenti — Button for connecting or disconnecting channels and social accounts; for Cassa, the page of accounts and POS terminals. See Linking channels, Connecting social accounts, Cash desk links.
  • Compiti (To-Do List) — The Segreteria list of things to do. See Secretariat.
  • Comunicazioni — Full-screen page with the conversations with clients and suppliers. Not to be confused with the MiniChat. See Comunicazioni.
  • Consenso (privacy e marketing) — The client's authorisation for data processing, recorded in the client record. See Privacy and consents in the automations.
  • Contabilità — Page with Prima Nota and Scadenzario. See Accounting.
  • Conversazione — The messages exchanged with a contact; if the same client has several channels connected, it appears in a single row. See The conversation list.
  • CrazyLab — AuraStudio drawer where you describe an image in words for the AI to generate. See Images with artificial intelligence.
  • Crediti AI (token) — Personal currency used to pay for image generation and for building the website with AI. Each user has their own balance. Not to be confused with loyalty points. See AI credits.

  • Designer — Menu entry that opens the AuraStudio graphics editor. See Designer.
  • Dispositivo non autorizzato — Screen shown when the device's access is stopped. See Login problems, Opening Narciso.
  • Documento Commerciale — The tax document (the «receipt») transmitted to the Agenzia delle Entrate after the sale; the client can receive its PDF. See Cash desk links, Automatic messages to clients.
  • Domicilio — Service provided at the client's home instead of on site. See Services, New appointment.
  • Dichiara — Prima Nota action that transmits a sale to the Agenzia delle Entrate. See Cash book.
  • Duplicare (turni) — Copying the hours of one day onto other days. See Shifts.

  • EAN — The product's barcode. Not to be confused with SKU, the internal code. See Products.
  • Email — Mailbox connected to the chat. See Email.
  • Emoji e GIF — Smileys and animated images in messages; it also contains the Sticker tab. See Writing and sending a message, Stickers.
  • Esaurito — Product with zero stock. See Products, Stock.
  • Esporta — Button on the tables for downloading the data. See Data tables.

  • F24 — Tax payment form; in Scadenzario the deadlines prepared by the program appear. See Payment schedule.
  • Fedeltà (Cassa) — Third mode of Cassa, where points are converted into rewards. See Loyalty rewards in the Cash desk.
  • Fiamma — Icon on an Instagram or Facebook post that shows how it is doing compared with the account's other posts. See Social media statistics, Editorial plan.
  • Fine turno — For the Operatore, automatic logout at the end of the shift. See End of shift.
  • Font aziendali — Fonts chosen for the brand at registration. See Company palette and fonts.
  • Fornitori — Page with the tabs Aziende, Persone fisiche and Storico ordini. See Suppliers.
  • Fronte e Retro — The two fixed canvases of print formats. See Print formats.

  • Genitore / Figlio (prodotti) — Descriptive link between variants of the same product; it does not change stock or prices. See Products.
  • Giacenza — Quantity of a product in stock. See Products, Stock in and out.
  • Giorni Max. Pagamento — Maximum payment extension granted by a supplier, which determines the deadlines that can be proposed in Cassa (Paga). See Supplier companies, Paying suppliers.
  • Gomma, Gomma magica — Editor tools for erasing part of the photo with a brush. See Retouching photos.
  • Google (scheda) — The business's profile on Google. See Google listing.

  • IBAN — Bank details: for team members it is data restricted to the Titolare, for suppliers it is needed for payments in Cassa. See Staff records, Supplier companies.
  • Impazzisci — AuraStudio inspiration cards with ready-made image ideas. See Images with artificial intelligence.
  • Importa esistenti — Entry in the Aggiungi menu: you upload documents or photos and artificial intelligence creates the records. See Importing clients, Importing staff.
  • In corso (ordine) — Product already ordered from the supplier and not yet arrived. See Incoming orders.
  • Inpainting — Editor tool for removing or redoing an area of the photo. See Retouching photos.
  • Instagram — Channel for chat and posts. See Instagram.
  • Interno (uso del prodotto) — Consumable product of the salon: it does not appear in Cassa in Riscuoti. See Products.
  • Invio AGdE — Prima Nota column: shows whether the daily takings have been transmitted to the Agenzia delle Entrate. See Cash book.
  • IVA — Value added tax: in Cassa it is applied line by line; a flat-rate (forfettario) business does not apply it to sales. See VAT and the flat-rate regime in the Cassa, Tax configuration.

  • Libreria («La Tua Libreria») — Finished content ready to be published on social networks. Not to be confused with Riprendi lavoro, where the drafts are. See New post, Exporting.
  • Liquidazione IVA — The way VAT is settled (monthly or quarterly). See Tax configuration, Payment schedule.
  • Livelli — Editor panel with the elements from the highest to the lowest. See Designer side panels.
  • Lotto — Data field in a product's technical sheet. See Products.

  • Magazzino — Page with Prodotti, Servizi and Carico & Scarico. Each location has its own. See Stock.
  • Mappa sedi — Satellite map of all the locations, used to change the active location. See Locations map and active location.
  • Marketing — Page that is called Promozioni in the menu, with Promozioni, Premi Fedeltà and Utilizzi. See Marketing and promotions.
  • Maschera — Cropping a photo inside a shape. See The canvas.
  • Media Explorer — List of the conversation's files in the attachment viewer. See Attachment viewer.
  • Meme — Editor panel for creating images with text. See Designer side panels.
  • Meta — Company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business. See External services.
  • MiniChat — Column of conversations on the right-hand side, above any page. Not to be confused with the Comunicazioni page. See The chat in the side menu.
  • Modelli — Ready-made editor layouts; personal ones are saved from your own project. See Designer side panels.
  • Modifica veloce — A way of changing several product rows directly in the table. See Products, Stock.
  • Muoviti — Button with a calendar for jumping to a day. See Calendar, Shifts.

  • Paga — Cassa mode for orders and payments to suppliers. See Paying suppliers.
  • Palette aziendale — The brand's colours, taken from the logo or chosen by hand. See Company palette and fonts.
  • Partita IVA — The business's tax number; at registration it pre-fills the data. See Business set-up.
  • PEC — Certified email, connected like email. See PEC (certified email).
  • Personale Disponibile — Agenda box that shows who is free. See Calendar.
  • Persone Fisiche (Fornitori) — Record of the suppliers' sales contacts. See Individual suppliers.
  • Piano editoriale — Calendar of scheduled and published posts. See Editorial plan.
  • Pillole (staff) — Labels with team members' names above the Agenda: one click filters the appointments. See Calendar.
  • Pin (mappa) — Drop that marks a location on the Mappa sedi. Not to be confused with Pinterest Pins. See Locations map and active location.
  • Pin (Pinterest) — Image published on Pinterest. See Pinterest.
  • POS — Card payment terminal that can be connected in Cassa. See Payments and POS.
  • Post finito — Post saved with Salva Post: it goes into the Social library. Not to be confused with Bozza. See Exporting.
  • Postazione — Chair or workstation that can be assigned to the appointment. See Services, New appointment.
  • Premium (funzione) — Option activated by Narciso on a single user: attachments that some channels do not accept are converted and compacted instead of being rejected. See Writing and sending a message.
  • Prenotazione intelligente — Bot function that books, moves and cancels appointments in chat. See Prenotazione intelligente.
  • Previsione taglio — Bot function: from a photo of the face it prepares haircut proposals and a short video. It does not use AI credits. See Haircut preview (the mirror).
  • Prima Nota — Register of the money coming in and going out. See Cash book.
  • Promozione — Offer with a code (percentage or euro discount, free gift) valid at the active location. See Promotions.
  • Provvigione (%) — Percentage granted to the team member on a service; it is only recorded. See Services.
  • Punti fedeltà — Points earned by the client with the loyalty card and exchanged for rewards. See Loyalty points.
  • Punto Riordino — Indicative threshold in the table, a reminder only. Not to be confused with Scorta di sicurezza, which generates the reorder task. See Products.

Q#

  • QR — Square code read by the phone: it connects Personal WhatsApp (to be scanned within 15 minutes) and is used for clocking in. See WhatsApp (Personale and Aziendale), Attendance.
  • Quadro — Page of the graphics editor; in carousels each frame is a slide. Not to be confused with Tela, the work area. See The canvas.

  • Salva Bozza / Salva Post — Entries in the Salva menu: Bozza to resume later, Post to finalise and send to the Social library. See Designer projects, Exporting.
  • Salvataggio automatico — The editor saves by itself about 5 seconds after the last change. See Designer projects.
  • Scadenza fiscale automatica — Scadenzario row prepared by the program after the tax setup, with a zero amount to be filled in. See Payment schedule.
  • Scadenzario — Contabilità tab with payment deadlines and tax deadlines. See Payment schedule.
  • Scambio del posto — Assistant function for freeing up an occupied slot in return for a surcharge. See Slot swap (Booking auction).
  • Scheda appuntamento — Window with the details of an appointment. See Appointment card.
  • Scollega — Closes a channel's connection. See Unlinking a channel.
  • Scomponi — Editor tool that separates a photo into layers. See Retouching photos.
  • Scontrino elettronico — Automatic sending of the Documento Commerciale to the Agenzia delle Entrate, without a physical cash register. See Cash desk links.
  • Scorta di sicurezza — Threshold below which a product is «sotto scorta» and generates the reorder task. See Products.
  • Sede / Sede attiva — The business's physical location and the one you are working in; stock, promotions, shifts and channels are per location. See Locations map and active location, Multiple locations and shared channels.
  • Segreteria — Page with the To-Do List. See Secretariat.
  • Serve un operatore — Label: the bot has stopped and it is up to the staff. See The chat assistant, How to check what the automations have done.
  • Sessione — The period during which you stay logged in. See Session and logging out.
  • Setup fiscale — The window «Un'ultima cosa: il tuo regime IVA» (One last thing: your VAT regime) at first login. See Tax configuration.
  • Silenzia — Stops a contact's unread counter; messages still arrive. See Muting, banning and deleting a conversation.
  • Sito web — Editor of the location's showcase website. See Website.
  • SKU — Internal code chosen for a product. Not to be confused with EAN. See Products.
  • Slide — Name of each frame in a carousel. See The canvas.
  • Social media — Page for scheduling and checking posts. See Social media.
  • Sotto scorta — Product whose availability is equal to or below the safety stock. See Products.
  • Stampa autonoma — Printing a print format from the browser. Not to be confused with Ordina Produzione. See Print formats.
  • Sticker — Image with a transparent background to send in chat like a sticker. See Stickers.
  • Storico ordini — Read-only list of purchases from suppliers. See Order history.
  • Storico transazioni — Clienti tab with each client's bookings and sales. See Transaction history.
  • Stripe — Card payment service that can be connected in Cassa and is used for AI credit top-ups. See Payments and POS, AI credits.

  • Tela — Work area of the editor with the frames. Not to be confused with Quadro. See The canvas.
  • Telegram — Channel that connects the personal account, not a bot. See Telegram.
  • TikTok — Social network that can be connected from Social media. See TikTok, TikTok (linking).
  • Timbrare — Recording clock-in and clock-out in Presenze. In Contabilità, sales are declared and other entries are confirmed. See Attendance, Cash book.
  • Titolare — Role with the most permissions (managing staff, locations, restricted data). See Roles and permissions.
  • To-Do List — See Compiti.
  • Token — Another name for Crediti AI. See AI credits.
  • Tool (pannello) — In the tables: panel for column visibility. In the editor: panel of the selected element's properties. See Data tables, Designer side panels.
  • Turni — Team members' working hours, per location. See Shifts.

  • Undo / Redo — Undo and redo in the editor, for the last 50 steps. See The canvas.
  • Unisci — Merges several records of the same person into one. See Merging client records.
  • Uso del prodotto — Vendita (Sale), Interno (Internal) or Entrambi (Both). See Products.
  • Utilizzi — Tab for loyalty rewards and counter of a promotion's uses. See Discount code uses, Loyalty rewards.

  • Verifica SMS — Phone check with a 6-digit code by SMS. See Phone verification by SMS.
  • Vetrina digitale — Menu group with Sito web and Social media. See Side menu.
  • Voce non inventariata — Item not in the catalogue, charged from the calculator. See Cash desk.
  • Voce personalizzata — Product or service added by hand in Paga. See Paying suppliers.
